Yaffle is a free puzzle site run by one person as a side project. These terms
are deliberately short.
Using it
Play as much as you like. You don't need an account, and it costs nothing.
Your account
- Pick a username that you'd be happy for a ten-year-old to read. Names that
aren't get removed, along with the account, without warning.
- Your recovery code is the only way back into your account. Keep it
somewhere safe — we can't look it up for you, because we don't know which
account is yours without it.
- One account per person on the leaderboard. Making extras to pad your
standing means all of them get removed.
Fair play
Don't script the site, hammer it with automated requests, or try to game the
leaderboard. The whole point of a daily puzzle is that everyone gets the same
one under the same rules. Accounts that spoil that get deleted.
What we promise
Honestly, not much. This is a free game with no guarantees: it might go down,
lose your scores, change how it works, or stop existing. We'll try not to do any
of those, but if one of them ruins your day there's no recourse beyond our
sympathy. Nothing here is offered "fit for purpose" in any legal sense.
Where the content comes from
- Satellite imagery: Esri, Vantor, Earthstar Geographics and the GIS user community.
- Country outlines and geography: Natural Earth, which is public domain.
- Everything else — the games, the words, the design — belongs to Yaffle.
Please don't copy the site wholesale. Playing it, sharing your score, and
telling people about it are all very welcome.
Changes
If these change, the date at the top changes with them.
